Gabriel Iglesias also is known as fluffy is an American comedian and actor was born in San Diego California. He is the youngest of six children and was raised by a single mother. He has a Mexican heritage which allowed him to understand the culture and also allowed him to grow his base in comedy. He was working for a cell phone company in Los Angeles, and in 1997 he quit to become a full-time comedian.

Iglesias generally refers to his weight in his comedy specials and tries to elaborate on the levels of fat one can be. He says that there are five levels of fat and he is just fluffy, hence his name. He appeared in the sixth season of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy which includes all the co-stars Amanda Bynes and Nick Cannon. He also lends his voice to the entire Mexican family of the family guy. He was also a contestant in the Last Comic standing where he survived the elimination and was later disqualified from having used blackberry to communicate with his family which violated the rules of the show.

In 2011, he presented the Stand-up revolution which was hosted by Gabriel Iglesias, which run for four successful years. Iglesias has hosted six episodes of equals three which allowed people to have a strip club DJ. Iglesias is featured in a reality series called the Fluffy beaks even. The show was later renamed to Fluffy’s food adventure which was later renewed in January 2017.

Iglesias says that his influences and style to Paul Rodriguez, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, etc. He is one of the few comedians who tried to stick to clean comedy which means that he avoids potentially controversial topics. He also often talks a lot about his weight and his struggles which allowed him to understand his life and choices better. He is very vocal about making healthier life choices and also how his hard work allowed him to shed 100 pounds. He also struggled with depression and alcohol abuse and later did better as he became conscious of everything.

Today, Gabriel Iglesias stands as America’s most successful standup comedians and s often seen selling all his seats touring around the world. He also featured in the Hollywood reporter’s Top 40 Comedy Players in 2018 to work alongside Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels. He has made a lot of headline for selling out Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, The Sydney Opera House.

Iglesias began production as a star and become an executive producer of Netflix’s upcoming multi-cam television series Mr Iglesias. This is a show about a man who plays a good-natured public high school teacher which is also his Alma Mater where he is a misfit for the kids but with full of potential. He is also a recurring guest star in ABC sitcom Cristela and Modern Family. He featured in many movies like Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL and A haunted house 2 and can be heard in animated movies like Coco, Show Dogs, Ferdinand, etc.

He also is known for his specials which run on Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself, Jeff Dunham: Spark of insanity, Jeff Dunham’s very special Christmas special, Jeff Dunham: Controlled Chaos, Jeff Dunham: Minding the monsters, etc. He is known for his unique style of cracking the audience, where he is dressed down and bringing his many personalities. There are many politically incorrect, gratuitously insulting and ill-tempered way of addressing a situation.

Dunham by various news outlets has been called ‘America’s Favorite Comedian’. He is also one of the top-grossing standup comedians in North America who has sold over millions of DVDs and merchandise. Dunham was born on April 18, 1962, Dallas, Texas and was later adopted by Real Estate appraiser Howard Dunham who raised him devoutly. He discovered his talent for ventriloquism at the age of 8. Dunham began his acting career and started practising for hours in front of a mirror and later learned the skill which allowed him to speak well without opening in the mouth.

Dunham started his career when he was a teenager and performed in various venues like schools, churches and also had a job at six flags. He began to perform at banquets which included local celebrities. His first television debut came in the year 1976 where he performed for people like Bill O’Reilly. Dunham later appeared in many commercials where they went to high school. He then set himself a goal of appearing on the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and which he says is the holy-grail for all comedians.

In 1988, he moved to Los Angeles, California to help his career propel forward. In the beginning, he saw that his acts were bombed and later with his personality development and people understanding the Jokes started to welcome him. This is where he started experimenting and away from his G-rated material with edgier, adult themes. In 1988, he was given a spot on The Tonight Show with Jonny Carson which helped him get his dream come true.

Dunham moved back to more than 200 appearances in a year and started to maintain the right connection with the fan base. He was also one of most popular where he was voted the Funniest Male Standup at the American Comedy Awards in 1998. Dunham was also one of the front runners to replace Jimmy Kimmel on Fox.

Dunham, in his career, achieved a lot of praise as the only person ever to win ‘Ventriloquist of the year’ and was also nominated for the ‘Comedian of the year’. His jokes very controversial and have gotten him banned in many countries. He was in trouble where he used the name Ahmed for his commercial, which got him a lot of hate from the Muslim Community. Later on, JP William, who was a blue-collar comedy tour, said that he was not funny and as the time passes his material gets blander.

The following year he was signed into as the headliner at The Mirage Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in Dallas and started to play with ventriloquism dummy when he was ten years old. He was always entertaining his friends and family by providing them with some of the best ventriloquism and made impressions of others. He also practised singing in ventriloquism which allowed him to get the hand of the lip movement.

Fator was also a member of the band in 1987-88 called the Freedom Jam. They performed at high schools and middle schools across America and Canada. Later in 1988, he was the lead singer of the band called ‘Texas the Band’. He later left the band and started with his solo act combined with his comedy and ventriloquism that allowed him to have a few successes. This was a low point according to him as with 100 seats in the audience he entertained only one.

He was later discouraged, but with the help of his family, he started to pursue his dreams. This allowed him to enter America’s Got Talent in the hopes of exposure and made it to top 20. Fator started to gain attention with his combined efforts of singing, ventriloquism and was also a lead singer in many bands. He later decided to combine all the efforts into one and bring out a performance which helped him revamp his act and was loved the audience which also received a standing ovation.

With his appearance in America’s Got Talent, he received a lot of recognition. It was one of the things which kept him going. He made his first national appearance on America’s Got Talent and later came out speaking to the audience and how he found a platform. After he won the show, he got a Letterman gig fourteen times before he had the chance to perform. After he won the show, he appeared at the Jubilee Theatre at Bally’s which was 15 minutes long and due to a few unknown reasons he had to drop the gig. He later performs at the Christian Rock legend Larry Norman on his 60th Birthday party. He later flew to the tapping of America’s got talent and also his debut show at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Fator has taken up being a ventriloquist quite seriously and wants to make sure that he is bringing in everything when it comes to being the best ventriloquist. He wants to bring in a change in the way people see ventriloquist where people began to take our jobs seriously. He is also seen impersonating singers alongside his puppets and one of the most famous Michael Jackson puppets is something that he often includes in his acts. As a ventriloquist, he is often seen hiding in lips to help have a seamless conversation.

Reno ran on comedy central from 2003 to 2009. It is a parody series of law enforcement shows, having comic actors playing police officers.

American Vandal:

The series is around the aftermath of a school prank. Peter Maldonado, and Sam Ecklund venture on to find out who is responsible for the vandalism at a public high school.

Conclusion:

There is a lot of comedy series that is coming out these days, but some titles remain evergreen. Thye have a special place. Having said that it doesn’t mean that others are not good, but some are an all-time classic. They refresh memories and represent a skill that can’t be replicated.

Trevor Noah

Trevor Noah is a South African Comedian, writer, producer and host who is currently seen working on The Daily Show when he talks about the satirical news program on Comedy central. He was born in Johannesburg where he began his career as a comedian, presenter, actor in South Africa. He later came in many different television hosting roles and has acted in many late-night talk show gigs.

He attained his international success by appearing on the American late-night talk show where he was a long time host. In his autobiographical comedy ‘Born a crime’, it garnered critical acclaim. Noah has received may acclaims and nominations and was also named one of the 35 most influential people in New York Media. During the time of his birth due to apartheid legislation, he was considered to be illegal under the law. He, in his book, claims that interracial marriages were not illegal until after his birth and talks extensively about the same in the book. In the year 2002, he had a small role in an episode of South African soap opera Isidingo. He later began to host his radio show the Noah’s Ark which was directed towards the youth of the place. He later stopped his hosting and started to focus on Comedy and performed alongside David Kau, Kagiso Lediga, Riaad Moosa, Dareen Simpson, etc.

Noah went on to host the educational TV programme, Run the adventure (2004-2006), Real Goboza (2007), The Amazing Date (2008), Strictly come dancing (2008), hosted 3rd annual South Africa Film and television awards (2009). Noah has performed all over South Africa in the blacks-only comedy show, the heavyweight comedy jam, the Vodacom campus comedy tour, the cape town international comedy festival, etc.  In December 2014, he became a recurring contributor to The Daily Show and was also announced that Noah would succeed Jon Stewart as the host. Soon, after Noah’s jokes caught the internet’s attention and was criticized for being offensive to women. After his successful debut, his contract with Comedy Central was extended, and due to this success, he led three stand-up specials on Comedy Central and Netflix.

Noah says that his comedic influences as Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, which allowed him to have a very good comedic influence. He also says that Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle laid the foundation of comedy as we know it today. Noah is a Polyglot and is fluent in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, and German. Due to a domestic violence incident with his mother, Trevor wanted to bring awareness to the public. He describes himself as a progressive person who has a global perspective but not politically progressive. In 2018, he set up a Trevor Noah Foundation which is a Johannesburg based non-profit organization which helps with orphans, vulnerable youth with education, life skills and social capital. This organization strives to make sure that young people have the right opportunity to help understand their future and look for successful opportunities.
