Eddie Griffin started his comedy career on a dare and has since appeared in feature films including “Undercover Brother,” “Armageddon,” “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” “Date Movie,” and “Scary Movie 3.” After two months as a Comedy Store regular, Griffin was asked to open for Andrew Dice Clay at Madison Square Garden. He has since appeared in Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam,” recorded multiple HBO comedy specials, and performed at the Apollo Theater. Griffin earned his own comedy series, “Malcom and Eddie,” in 1996 and won the NAACP Image Award for Best Actor in a Comedy. In 2004, Comedy Central named him one of the Top 100 Greatest Stand-ups of all time. His most recent comedy special “You can Tell ‘em I Said It” premiered in February 2011.
