John Leguizamo: Ghetto Klown

Emmy award winning, John Leguizamo, has appeared in more than 50 films including “Moulin Rouge” and Baz Lurhmann’s “Romeo + Juliet.” Now a star on the stage, Leguizamo is bringing his “Ghetto Klown” show to stages around the country. Known for his many film roles, including the memorable Sid from all three “Ice Age” movies, John Leguizamo brings an energy to his projects that the New York Times can only describe as “a 12-year old who has just downed a Red Bull and a jumbo package of Twinkies.” Taking the theater scene by storm as well, Leguizamo is set to bring his play to life with an eight – city U.S. tour this February and March 2012. “Ghetto Klown,” his third Broadway play, is the next chapter in John Leguizamo’s popular personal and professional story. It follows in the uninhibited tradition of his “Mambo Mouth,” “Spic-O-Rama,” “Freak,” and “Sexaholix … a Love Story” and heats up the stage with vivid accounts and colorful characters, exploding with enthusiasm that can always be expected from Leguizamo.
