Two-time Grammy Award nominee, Margaret Cho, recently proved her incredible versatility when she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for “Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series” for her hilarious stint on “30 Rock” as gender-bending North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. She also stars in Lifetime’s hit series, “Drop Dead Diva,” has embarked on multiple sold-out national tours, and starred in a groundbreaking, off Broadway one-woman show, among her many accomplishments. Cho’s all new standup show, “MOTHER,” offers up an untraditional look at motherhood and how we look at maternal figures and strong women in queer culture. Considered her edgiest show to date, “MOTHER” is filled with riotous observations on race, drugs, celebrities, culture, politics, and sexuality – gay, straight and everything in between – and of course, nothing is sacred. Never one to turn away from important causes to her, she was honored in June 2011 by LA Pride, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award recognizing an individual whose lifetime body of work has left a lasting major imprint on the LGBT community.
