Jeff Dunham

Jeff Dunham is an American Standup comedian, Ventriloquist and actor who appeared on numerous television shows which you can enjoy. He also is known for his specials which run on Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself, Jeff Dunham: Spark of insanity, Jeff Dunham’s very special Christmas special, Jeff Dunham: Controlled Chaos, Jeff Dunham: Minding the monsters, etc. He is known for his unique style of cracking the audience, where he is dressed down and bringing his many personalities. There are many politically incorrect, gratuitously insulting and ill-tempered way of addressing a situation.

Dunham by various news outlets has been called ‘America’s Favorite Comedian’. He is also one of the top-grossing standup comedians in North America who has sold over millions of DVDs and merchandise. Dunham was born on April 18, 1962, Dallas, Texas and was later adopted by Real Estate appraiser Howard Dunham who raised him devoutly. He discovered his talent for ventriloquism at the age of 8. Dunham began his acting career and started practising for hours in front of a mirror and later learned the skill which allowed him to speak well without opening in the mouth.

Dunham started his career when he was a teenager and performed in various venues like schools, churches and also had a job at six flags. He began to perform at banquets which included local celebrities. His first television debut came in the year 1976 where he performed for people like Bill O’Reilly. Dunham later appeared in many commercials where they went to high school. He then set himself a goal of appearing on the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and which he says is the holy-grail for all comedians.

In 1988, he moved to Los Angeles, California to help his career propel forward. In the beginning, he saw that his acts were bombed and later with his personality development and people understanding the Jokes started to welcome him. This is where he started experimenting and away from his G-rated material with edgier, adult themes. In 1988, he was given a spot on The Tonight Show with Jonny Carson which helped him get his dream come true.

Dunham moved back to more than 200 appearances in a year and started to maintain the right connection with the fan base. He was also one of most popular where he was voted the Funniest Male Standup at the American Comedy Awards in 1998. Dunham was also one of the front runners to replace Jimmy Kimmel on Fox.

Dunham, in his career, achieved a lot of praise as the only person ever to win ‘Ventriloquist of the year’ and was also nominated for the ‘Comedian of the year’. His jokes very controversial and have gotten him banned in many countries. He was in trouble where he used the name Ahmed for his commercial, which got him a lot of hate from the Muslim Community. Later on, JP William, who was a blue-collar comedy tour, said that he was not funny and as the time passes his material gets blander.
